Customization

We can also provide our clients with the option of customizing or integrating other applications with the selected software solution. We have successfully integrated legacy applications such as EDI and Shop Floor Data Collection systems, thereby providing the best of both worlds for our clients. We are also expert at customizing standard reports as well as using various tool sets such as Visual Basic for minor functionality changes to the software itself.

If at all possible, we discourage customizing the software itself since that may have negative impact down the road and may even preclude future software upgrades. Instead, we will determine all the options available for resolving a Risk Item, discuss each option with management and decide on an appropriate course of action. We encourage design changes to reports and the use of the Visual Basic tool set, along with detailed documentation for both. If a software customization is truly indicated, then we recommend that our clients use the software provider or an approved vendor to maintain a single point of support should any questions or problems arise in the future.

We have integrated many different applications with ERP systems to save users’ time and increase efficiency while protecting the company’s information system investment. Some examples of these applications are:

ASN Processor

An automotive supplier needed to send Advance Ship Notices for every shipper. This application has saved countless hours of manual rekeying of shipment data, increased accuracy and improved our client's Supplier Quality Rating with their customers.

EDI Translator

Receives purchase order, and shipment schedule information and updates the Sales Order module accordingly, correctly adjusting sales order releases based on demand that changes daily. It also allows for retrieving and transmitting invoice information directly from the database.

Production Scheduling

Users on the manufacturing floor can view current and upcoming jobs as well as capacity information allowing them to project manpower requirements over the next four months.

Shop Floor Data Collection

Interfaces a legacy data collection system to the ERP database, allowing the client to extend the life of their system as opposed to replacing it.

Non-Conformance, Quality Tracking

Replaced a series of spreadsheets to track quality problems associated with manufacturing, purchasing and engineering. Interfaces with the corporate ERP database for data validation and generates various management reports and charts.

Analysis, Data Cubing

Provides a user friendly interface for viewing Key Performance Indicators. Interfaces directly with the database for up-to-the minute information, allowing managers and business owners to be more proactive leading to greater efficiency and greater profits.
